MUTELY

Privacy Policy

Effective date: 19 July 2026

The short version: Mutely has no accounts, no analytics, no ads and no servers. Everything the app knows stays on your device. Your Screen Time data is processed entirely on-device by Apple's frameworks and never reaches us — by design, we couldn't read it even if we wanted to.

Who we are

Mutely is an iOS app that helps you limit distracting apps, developed by Antoni Rozwoda ("we", "us"). This policy explains what data the app handles and where it lives. Contact: app.mutely@gmail.com.

Data we collect

None. Mutely does not collect, transmit, sell or share any personal data. The app has no user accounts, no analytics or tracking SDKs, no advertising, and makes no network requests of its own. In the App Store privacy section Mutely is listed as “Data Not Collected”.

Screen Time and app-usage data

Mutely uses Apple's Screen Time frameworks (Family Controls, Managed Settings and Device Activity) to block the apps you choose and to show your usage insights. This works under Apple's strict privacy sandbox:

What stays on your device

Your block list, schedules, daily limits, unlock history and settings are stored locally in the app's private storage (including its App Group container shared with Mutely's own extensions). They are included in your device backups according to your iOS backup settings, and they are deleted when you delete the app.

Purchases

Subscriptions are processed by Apple through your Apple account. We never see your payment details. Apple's handling of that data is described in Apple's Privacy Policy.

Notifications

Mutely may show local notifications (for example, to hand you back to the app during an unlock). These are generated on-device; no push-notification service is used.

Children

Mutely is intended for users who manage their own device and screen time. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly process any data about children.

Changes

If we ever change how Mutely handles data, we will update this page and the effective date above before the change takes effect. Because the app collects nothing, we expect changes to be rare.
